DESCRIPTION:Black and Brown girls face adverse health outcomes at higher rates. Some of these disparities include increased school disciplinary action and gender based violence\, poorer mental health outcomes\, and less access to educational and economic opportunities\, all of which impact outcomes for Black women. Yet Black girls and young women prove to be brilliant and resilient. Join this webinar to learn strategies and suggestions to give Black girls a voice\, be an ally\, and hear directly from young women discuss the issues that are impacting girls the most. \nThis webinar will feature a one hour presentation and discussion with youth leaders\, and will then be followed by an optional 30 minute Q&A with the panelists. In addition to the youth leaders\, the presenters will include two TA Consultants from MENTOR Virginia’s team–Bianca Myrick and Tammie Mobley–as well as Jamila Trimuel from LOV Chicago. \nRegistration is required. Please register here.
