Join MENTOR Virginia for our Community Spotlight event featuring the University of Richmond Adjunct Professor and RPS History/Social Science Specialist Ma’asehyahu Isra-Ul as he discusses the creation of the R.E.A.L. Richmond History Class utilized by Richmond Public Schools that highlights the often untold stories, contributions, and set-backs of Blacks and other marginalized groups in the city.

In this session, you will gain insight into the conversations and questions shared throughout this history course as well as a preview of concerns and aspirations your mentees may have from the impact of such lessons.

Celebrate Black History Month by learning a little more about Richmond’s real history and how we can collectively reimagine the future!

This event is free and open to the public; however, please consider making a donation to support our work of empowering, elevating, and encouraging young people: https://archive.mentorva.org/donate/
