December Community Coffee Hour

December 8, 2021 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am
Free

Register for this meeting here.

Grab your coffee or tea, and join your mentoring program peers and MENTOR Virginia on Wednesday, December 8 from 9:00 – 10:00 am for Community Coffee Hour. We’ll be joined by two mentoring organizations who will share their experiences and best practices for partnering with school systems to provide mentoring to young people, and there will be an opportunity for small group discussion and brainstorming. Ellie Martinez from BBBS Services, Inc., and Grishma Rodrigues and Arya Pazhwak from MEGA Mentors will be answering questions including:

  • How did your program first establish relationships with schools?
  • What are some lessons your program has learned from your time building and maintaining relationships with schools?
  • How has COVID impacted your relationship with schools?
  • What advice would you offer to a mentoring program that is trying to establish relationships with schools right now?

MENTOR Virginia will virtually host Community Coffee Hour every 2nd Wednesday of the month with mentoring program staff to create space for peer-to-peer learning and resource sharing, and to address issues you and your organization might be facing during the pandemic and beyond. We hope to see you at an upcoming Community Coffee Hour!
