Free

Register Here.

Grab your coffee or tea, and join your mentoring program peers and MENTOR Virginia on Wednesday, June 8th from 9:00 – 10:00 am for Community Coffee Hour. We’ll be joined by Chekesha White, Founder and Executive Director of G.I.R.L.S. Club and some members from her talented team of staff and mentors for a discussion on strategies for keeping your mentors engaged for the long haul. Some questions the G.I.R.L.S. Club crew will be answering:

  • What strategies has your program used for mentor retention? What has been most successful?
  • How have you overcome barriers to mentor retention over the years?
  • What advice do you have for programs that are struggling to retain their mentors?

MENTOR Virginia will virtually host Community Coffee Hour every 2nd Wednesday of the month with mentoring program staff to create space for peer-to-peer learning and resource sharing, and to address issues you and your organization might be facing during the pandemic and beyond. We hope to see you at an upcoming Community Coffee Hour!
