MENTOR has released a supplement to the Elements of Effective Practice for Mentoring™! Co-written by Dr. Torie Weiston-Serdan, chief visionary officer of Youth Mentoring Action Network and author of Critical Mentoring: A Practical Guide, and Mike Garringer, Director of Research and Evaluation at MENTOR, the Critical Mentoring Supplement offers ideas and strategies for adults looking to support young people navigate the violence and bigotry of our time, gain a greater understanding of the ways in which their identities, experiences, are relationships are impacted by race, class, gender, ability, and sexuality, and formulate a positive sense of self and a desire to contribute to a better future.
